Continued support. Our relationship doesn’t end at placement. We’ve supported birth parents who placed with us since 1992, some for decades.

North Florida and Panhandle Referral Services

While our in-person offices are located in Sarasota and Tallahassee, we’re able to offer referral and counseling support to families further north.

A Note on Florida Adoption Law

Florida’s Safe Haven Law allows a parent to anonymously and legally surrender an unharmed newborn, without fear of prosecution, at any hospital, fire station, or emergency medical services station. As of July 1, 2024, the surrender window was expanded from 7 days old to 30 days old, and parents may now also request an EMS provider by calling 911. Florida law separately allows adoptive families to assist a birth mother with reasonable living expenses during pregnancy and for up to 6 weeks after birth.
